Antares Mic Modeler
Hi,
My post is with regard to the amazing Antares MIC-MOD-EFX Software Mic Modeler Plug-In. I've been looking for a copy of this software ever since it's release in 2000 as it was used very successfully on my debut CD! However the bad news was that it would only run on a Mac & not PC - and my album was recorded in someone else's studio on a Mac system using Pro-Tools v.7 if memory serves.
I've since put together my own project studio so would like very much to have Antares Mic Modeler as a VST.
Searching Ebay again today I found a US seller advertising what appears to be an updated re-release of this product! I use an Acer Aspire 5720 laptop running Adobe Audition 3 DAW.
My question to Antares is:
Will this new version of Mic Modeler run error free correctly as a VST plug-in with Adobe Audition 3 ?
My laptop is running Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit SP1 & has 2 gigabytes of RAM / Intel dual core processor.
If it will run glitch free, I'd make this product top of the list on my 'must haves'.

PS: I did read on the Antares product website that Mic Modeler will run using Adobe Audition 3 as the host, but there would be some midi incompatibility.
However, I don't use midi and lay all my tracks down from a hardware sequencer via audio into AU3.
So I would only be using Mic Modeler in a non-Midi environment.
If anyone has any helpful comments or further advice, I would very much appreciate any responses!

Yes, Mic Mod EFX should work fine with Adove Audition 3 except for the MIDI routing. As Mic Mod EFX does not utilize MIDI in the way that Auto-Tune does, this is not an issue with Mic Mod EFX. Here is a link to Antares' host compatibility page:

Also, I would highly recommend downloading and trying out the demo version of Mic Mod EFX. The demo does require you to have an iLok USB Smartkey to download your trail license onto. Here is a link to the demo download page:
