One thing that isn't clear in the preview ads for ATG6 is whether or not it is intended for live applications or only to clean up recordings. It also isn't explicitly clear whether or not it will appropriately cover bass guitar frequencies.

I would dearly love this product if it has low enough latency to be used live to correct intonation problems on a fretless bass. I own Autotune 7 (native); it has a pretty high latency for live applications. If it was a constant latency, I could compensate by anticipating the beat; however, it seems to get a little bit faster after I start playing a phrase (and presumably it builds up a buffer for analysis) and, I think, faster on higher notes, which I would also somewhat expect from an analysis standpoint. The big problem is unpredictability.

So - if you can't solve the latency problem to try to bring it within maybe 20ms (e.g. the same as having the amp about 20 feet behind you), then at least please have a "consistency mode"/built in delay option I can select such that your algorithm tries to output consistently to the worse-case latency. It would be a big help. To my ear, anyway, timing problems sound more amateurish than intonation problems or out-and-out bad notes regardless of the instrument. It is especially death to a drummer or a bass player.

Thanks
