Autotune 4 direct x causes the program to crash as soon as I try to use AT- 4.   All of the legacy direct x trial versions work perfectly. I own a ligit version of AT-3 that was up graded to AT 4. I ran the AT 4 trial for ten days no problems. I have an ilok in sync and I upgraded the drivers on it. I have the latest version of direct x. I followed every FAQ for troubleshooting and adjusted all parameters as per Antares recommendations. Is the ilok creating some kind of conflict? ..or maybe when the trial version of AT-4 timed out it did something ugly? I have removed all Antares and reloaded several times. In fact I took out the ilok and I was still able to download the same AT 4 file from the Legacy page. But it still closes out my program when I try to use it. The host program is not the the issue I don't think as I have run ALL of the demo's without a hitch.  I am running Win. XP SP3 Direct x version 9.0  Please help...

Auto Tune 4 will not work with Service Pack 3. You'll have to retrograde to have a compatible system.
Thank you so much and I 'll give it a try but I'm still compelled to ask... Why would any of the Antares directx demo's even run as I have had SP3 for quite a while? ...jeff
I wound up reformatting and re-installing. Everything works just fine! ...jeff
Jeff I feel your pain, I have a ilok with AT-4 registered that I can't use also.

Auto Tune 4 not working with SP3 on win-XP is the wrong approach. Antares I understand you want to sell your newest products, and Microsoft officially says they don't support xp...but Microsoft continues to roll out updates. It seems that Microsoft knows something and they are supporting an industry they created. I paid somewhere around $400 for Auto Tune 4 when I bought it legally. This money in a small way encouraged Antares to stay in business. I originally bought the program when all you needed was a serial number, then I updated it once, and had to buy an ilok just to get it working again. Man did I feel hosed over that one. All I wanted to do was correct pitch in my studio, so I bought a solution to this problem, and Antares had me if I wanted to play.

If I would have bought a piece of hardware I could still be using it. But as it is now my medium for using the product will not support the operation of the solution I paid hardware prices for. Well I could create a SP2 boot, but every time I do this and I let the machine see the internet, I am bombarded with updates that eventually end with sp3. This tells me that MS really is supporting XP and sp3 is their preferred method. If I want a version of AutoTune that works I can pay upgrade of $129, hellow, I can buy it new a musicians friend for $99, then I have over $500 in this solution, I could have bought the full EVO suite. This really feels like a slap because It wasn't my fault the original product broke. I feel the reason AT-4 doesn't work is that Antares didn't keep up with the changing technology.

And the final thought...Microsoft unofficially realized that too much was invested in WinXp to drop it, so they decided to keep it going with sp3, they know the whole country's IT infrastructure would fall apart with out it, to me it feels like it was just the responsible thing to do.
