When trying to install Auto-Tune EFX I keep getting the following error message:

The current Microsoft Windows version does not support this operation. ocurred in .\CopyInf.cpp at line number: 383 Other Error: 10 Internal Operation:200

I have tried to adjust the OS for running programs meant for earlier OS to no avail.

Any suggestions?

Same issue here. Any ideas when to expect a compatible version ?
I also have this issue, for Autotune 5 and AVOX bundle using W7 64-bit.
I clicked the link suggested and downloaded the files.
copying them to suggested directory.

unfortunately, it did not solve my problem.
any other suggestions?
Are you running a 64 bit version of windows? If so, you'll need to follow these installation procedures: http://portal.knowledgebase.net/article.asp?article=107844&p=5764
Hi mnml_music,
your hint worked fine on W7 64 bit and Ableton Live 8.
Unfortunately you provided link doesn't work anymore for other users.
Allbest

The provided link has nothing to do with Ableton Live. It only has to do with 64-bit version of windows (XP, VISTA, and 7) and it works just fine.

What do you mean by other users?
Well, yesterday night it showed an error msg. File not found. Must have been temporary.
Nevermind.
I am having the same issues with the software I recently purchased. Has anyone figured out a solution or is this going to be a waste of money?
same problem here and same error message. Initially i installed windows 7 64 bit, thinking the 64 bit version was the problem, i then re-installed windows 7 32...same problem. the only think i can think of is that windows 7 is not compatible with autotune? i went through all the procedures in the knowledge database, and then some...but as the original poster mentioned, theres nothing there for windows 7.
I am slowly coming to the realization this stuff just doesn't work with windows 7 consistently. Some machines will do it, some won't.

The kicker is that it's just a simple VST file that should download in 20 seconds drag and drop into folder boom, done with it.

I think the interlock thing is just messing it all up. Probably lots of people who would like to use this just give up
Antares products work fine on Windows 7. Maybe both of you can give some more information on what the problem is, what host you're using, and any other info that you feel might be helpful in solving your problems.
If it worked fine for everyone on windows 7, myself and others wouldnt be having this problem. It appears it works for some, and others it doesnt..

I have had 2 other people, one who runs his own computer shop, and another one who is a computer tech...try to install it.......granted im spending a lot more time then them trying to get to the bottom of this..but my point here is that its not just something i am doing wrong.

Cubase 5 is my host program.

i get the same error message when i try to install ( i have an actual disc BTW)

Autotune says it needs to restart, then when the installer comes on again, the green loading bar gets stuck less a 1/4 of the way thru. Then i get the error message.

I followed all the steps in the knowledge base section, but as the poster mentioned, it doesnt say where to put the file for windows 7.

ok , lets start from the beginning. made sure autotune is not installed on my computer. Then i went to here

http://portalga.knowledgebase.net/al/5384/7553/article.aspx?aid=300...

followed the instructions..i downloaded the drivers. Now here maybe im making a mistake? i put the driver folder in the steinberg VST plugins folder, the same place where i tell autotune where to install to. maybe it doesnt matter anyways. Then i downloaded the correct zip file for EFX VST, extracted it..then since it doesnt say where to put it for windows 7, i put it in the same place as the drivers and the location for the install...basically every together. Its all in my c: drive anyways.

pop the EFX disc in...i go to PC installers, then autotune VST, then start the install

When Autotune asks where the file should be installed, i put it in Stenbeirgs VST plugins file along with everything else. Which is the same thing i did on windows XP and worked fine.

Now, i had read on another site, somebody was having the same issue.....

"I finally got it to work. I installed the iLok driver first (as noted on the Antares support site) and then installed the Antares Auto-Tune EFX in the XP compatibility mode as Administrator. I then had to download another file from Antares and manuall copy that folder to the Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins folder and also manually copy the Auto-Tune EFX.dll to the Program Files(X86)\Cakewalk\Vstplugins. - Basically a manual install."

this was for the 64 bit version....but i tried it anyways with no success....

i right clicked on the pc installers icon that starts the installation process, when to properties, then compatablilty tab...chose the XP ( also tried vista) compatability mode, checked the box that says "run as administrator" and the clicked apply. Then i right click the install icon, and chose "run as administrator"....still same issue....

ideas?
