While you can find almost everything you might want to know about our products in our various help resources, here is a quick overview of some of the most common questions we hear from new users:

Q. Will a particular Antares plug-in work in my host program?

A. Since hosts and operating systems seem to be in a constant state of flux, we maintain an updated web guide to which hosts are and aren't compatible. Check it out here.

Q. Why does my plug-in still pop up in demo mode even though I've purchased it?

A. Make sure your license has been downloaded to your iLok key by following the instructions in the iLok Authorization Guide (PDF).

A video version of the iLok Authorization Guide can be found at the Antares Support Page.

Q. Why doesn't Auto Tune 4 work on my new Mac?

A. The last update of Auto-Tune 4 was completed before Intel Macs were readily available. As such, it isn't (and never will be) compatible with Intel Macs. (It should, however, still be possible to run discontinued Antares plug-ins on systems that were compatible at the time of their release.)

Q. I want to try out a plug-in, but I get a message that I am past the 10 day demo period.

A. The demo period begins as soon as the plug-in is installed. Once the demo period has expired the software can no longer be used on that computer without purchasing a license and authorizing the software using an iLok USB hardware key.

Q. How do I setup Harmony Engine to receive MIDI in my host?

A. The easiest way to get setup for MIDI with Harmony Engine is to open up the Harmony Engine Demo sessions for "Stay By Me" and "Lift Us Away" which have the MIDI settings pre-routed. The Demo sessions have been created for the most popular audio recording hosts so you can open up those sessions and simply replace the included audio files with yours.

The Harmony Engine Demo sessions in the major host recording program formats can be downloaded from the following web links:

PC Demo Sessions
Mac Demo Sessions

Step by step text based guides for configuring Harmony Engine with MIDI can be located at the following Antares KnowledgeBase links:

For Sonar
For Logic

Q. Installation hangs after my PC restarts during the setup process. How can I get past this?

A. Try temporarily disabling your Internet connection (be it by unplugging the Ethernet cable or by turning off a wireless connection) and then try running the driver installer again. Once installed, the Internet connection can be restored.

Q. Can I use Auto Tune Evo on a 64-bit system?

A. Yes, you can find detail on how to setup Auto Tune Evo for a 64-bit system in this Antares KnowledgeBase article.

Q. How do I setup my Antares Vocal Producer (AVP-1) for live applications?

A. The AVP-1 can be setup numerous ways depending on what other equipment you are using. General setup configurations are described in the AVP-1 Owners Manual (PDF).

If the manual doesn't cover your particular application, you might try asking for assistance over in the AVP Category on the Community Forum.
