Can't save eFX presets in Digital Performer

Saving is a host function. 3rd party plug-ins don't have control over this. I would restate this question in the MOTU forum.

Thanx for your reply, but no it is not a host problem (though I have posted on MOTUnation.com too).

The host (DP) saves settings fine with each project, but when I go to use the eFX preset 'save-as' command, it fails to save. DP is doing its job, Harmony eFX is not. So, I can recall settings just fine, from within a given project. If I want to call up a preset I have created, I cannot, because eFX won't save.

Curiouser and curiouser...

A helpful chap over @ motunation.com suggested that I look @ the folder where the presets are kept, to check permissions.

There was no folder @ /Library/Audio/Presets/Antares/Harmony EFX, either in the root, or under my user account path.
When I tried to select the option to 'Show presets in Finder' in the drop down preset menu of Harmony eFX, nothing happened.

When I tried to create said folder (I did this just to test permissions) I got an authentication error, so I had to authenticate with my Administrator password to be able to create the folder. I changed the permissions settings on my /Library/Audio/Presets directory, and voila'!!!, all is good with the world again. Dunno why the permissions on the presets folder would have been locked like that, (there are lots of other plugs saving their presets in that folder), but anywaze, it works now.

Thanks for the update, BK. So it appears it's a default folder setting (?). In any case, this is a helpful tip.
