Permalink Reply by Jerry Pettit on February 17, 2011 at 8:45am I'm not getting midi sent to HE either, Jonathan. I've configured HE as a synth in Plugin Manager as instructed and HE still does not show up in the menu when you want to insert a synth to send midi to.
I wrote Tech Support on Monday about this and nothing back so far.
So...good luck.

Permalink Reply by Jerry Pettit on February 17, 2011 at 5:26pm Well, I did just hear from them now and guess what: They think it's SONAR's fault.
Surprise!
(This is the only plugin of many--a number of which I have configured as syth--that doesn't work).
I think I'll download the EVO demo and see if IT works. A little more money, but that way I get to circumnavigate the finger-pointing. (The SONAR folks were no help either...)

Permalink Reply by Jonathan G on February 21, 2011 at 4:16pm I made it work! When I installed it, I did it as as VST not RTAS. When I asked Sonar to "insert" from the "insert" menu, I had to go down to select "VST plugins". There it was. I set it to make a track folder, make a midi track and an audio track. Once the plugin was made, I added three midi tracks to the folder for a total of 4. Each of the four voices in HE is on it own midi channel. The first voice on the left (not the input voice) is on channel 1, the second is on channel 2, and so on. You have to program each of the midi tracks to go to a different channel and set "default" as the part. Then I sang into the HE audio track. I then had to record each midi track separately. I ended up with some beautiful harmony when I used the "midi channels' mode and the "midi omni" mode. I am guessing that there is a way to record all the midi tracks at the same time, but I haven't gotten that far. I'll get back to you if I figure it out.
