Setting Articulator up can be a bit strange. You'll start with two tracks; one is your vocal line, the other is whatever audio you want the vocal line to modulate. Put Articulator on the audio track and then route the vocal track to a buss. Select that buss as the side-chain input for the Articulator plugin. That's it as far as setting up the plugin goes, and a lot of making it sound good goes into careful choosing of what sort of sound you want to be modulated by the vocal line. Wide spectrum sounds tend to work best, but it never hurts to experiment.

I'm trying to get the talkbox effect to work in FL Studio, I just can't seem to figure it out though. I can't find any tutorials and this is the only place I can find any info on how to use Articulator. It's pretty ridiculous there's so little info out there. So any detailed information on how to get the talkbox effect would be incredible.

Thanks.

It's a little ridiculous. I can't seem to have much luck with it either. I'm trying to use the side chain option in Pro Tools using Pro Tools Buss's & Auxiliary's. When somebody breaks something down for me, I like to tell them to break it down like you're talking to a two year old. I try not to assume that people are hip to all the ins and outs when giving a lesson, or creating tutorials. This is something that I need more precise direction on in order to execute the proper procedure. I hope to get it going soon. So any more information that you might have on this matter would be helpful. Thanks. TTYL

I managed to set up articulator in protools. I routed the vocals to a bus and then applied articulator to my instrument track. I then set the side chain to the vocal track and it seems to be working. Any suggestions on what to use for the instrument track? Can someone email me a sample of some audio that works well as the targeted sound? Either the actual audio or how to create it?      timcarnie@gmail.com

will someone please outline step by step on how to get this thing to work as a talkbox.  Please explain like to a 2 year old. Thanks.
