Anyone got Kantos to work on MAC OSX Leopard ? Seems to install fine but doesnt show in any of the hosts. This was such a unique product I hate to loose it now that I've switched from Windows to Mac.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem very hopeful:

"The last updates of Auto-Tune 3, Auto-Tune 4, Tube, Filter, Mic Modeler and kantos were completed before the release of Microsoft Vista, Mac OSX Leopard and before the Intel Mac computer systems were redily available. All of these discontinued software programs will not be updated again for compatibility with these newer software and hardware platforms. It should still be possible to run the discontinued Antares software on a system that was compatible at the time of release but, it may not be possible to install the software on a system that has newer hardware or software. That's pretty much what I figured, but sometimes people figure out workarounds.

Its sad that this product apparently didn't sell well enough to justify continued development, but killing it off altogether is tragic.. cant ya release the source code and let someone who cares update it ? If I were rich, I'd buy the IP from ya. :(
i dont know anybody with it on MAC Mark..
it would be cool for the engineers to chip the code and make a 4x6 lcd effects audio plugin box..
then it wouldnt matter what systems we had.
dont forget to add midi control please. lol
Maybe if we give the devs enough cool examples they will revive the product. I'll start - assuming I can upload a large enough file here.

Kantos throughout .. but solo in middle is a guitar through Kantos

The solo part is actually an acoustic guitar... we hadn't recorded the solo yet and the guitar player was kinda dinking around.. and I was like " I can use that" !
Nice textures in that tune Mark!! Very creepy!

Intel Mac is definitely a kantos killer and in most cases, there is no way to get it running on a newer system! However, there is a workaround for Cubase and Nuendo users on a Mac to get kantos running under Leopard or on an Intel Mac running Tiger.

The newer Cubase 4, Nuendo 4 and Cubase 5 software programs have an included bridge application that allows older Power PC based plug-ins to work on an Intel system. I have kantos, Filter, and Mic Mod running on a Mac Pro using Leopard 10.5.4 in Cubase 4.5 and Cubase 5.0 Good news to have kantos back!! Even better news is that the Steinberg bridge application is programmed to crash only itself if there are compatibility problems so, there are no dangers of crashing the whole session due to the newer Intel Mac programming architecture not jiving with kantos.
Nice suggestions. My current plan is to load a windows based Kantos in VMware Fusion on an XP guest ( I have some other plugins that wont translate too .. mostly free ones that have one good sound each, but I like em ) .. Im confident this will work, but that means constantly dragging files from one OS to the other to process then move back. Hassle city. The bridge application sounds like an easier route ( once I get by the new host DAW learning curve ) ... I will definitely look into that.
