I recently installed AVOX DUO VST plug-in and the installation procedure seemed to go OK. But when my recording programs (I have a couple) scan for the plug-in, they lock up when they get to the AVOX DUO plug-in. I tried reinstalling the program but same results. Any ideas?

Art helped me get mine resolved to a point where it works tonight. I copied my AVOX DUO.DLL from my main "C:\VST" folder where pretty much all my VSTs reside to a separate "C:\VST_Test" folder and with it there, Sonar picked up on it just fine. Probably not any help for Larry's original issue, but thanks again to Art for giving me a usable work-around.
I'm having the identical problem just trying to install a demo of the Auto-Tune Evo plug-in on Sonar 8 running on Win 7 (64-bit). Sonar locks up on the vst scan and, after hitting cancel, won't find Auto-Tune when running the vst scanner (pointed to the proper folders). The only difference from previous posts is that I haven't activated the iLok account yet (just upgrading from the non-iLok Auto-Tune 4).
If you have past your 10 day trial then it is likely that the software will lock up during start-up. The 10 day trial starts right after you install the software so if you were to install the software and go on vacation, your trial would run out.

Also, make sure to check to see if there is a pop-up behind the Sonar window when scanning that could be preventing the plug-in from loading.
