Thanks,
The Whole Antares Crew!
Permalink Reply by Blogospherianman on June 26, 2011 at 10:49am Still watching and waiting, this is getting rediculous though, SERIOUSLY! Your plugins are the ONLY ones giving my sytem troubles... from Not loading, crashing, not saving, graphical mayhem, grainular glitching beyond recognition, flickering, major artifacts..... PLEASE UPDATE TO 64 BIT!! Please stay with the technological trends. Makes us, THE CUSTOMER, feels as though you do not support your current customers and technologies. Even introducing AT7 I thought surely AT7 would be 64 bit, upgraded with great dissappointment. Not even usable!! What a waste of my hard earned $$$! You shouldn't spread yourself SOOOO thin that you can't keep up with what's going on.
Thanks for making it HARDER THAN EVER to make music!!! You've killed the flow!!!
I'm losing trust in this company!! :(
Permalink Reply by Gianluca Sibaldi on October 19, 2011 at 8:47am Great to know you're in developement of 64 bit plugins, but I think you are a bit late, many other software companies already released their 64 bit plugs at least one year ago, some even before.
A lot of people including myself are on Mac and are using Logic in 64 bit mode because that way we can load very large sample libraries. But to work in the same time with AutoTune we are forced to pass thru the infamous 32bit AudioUnit Bridge which is not very stable by itself, and which seems, moreover, not to like very much Auto Tune: that "bad couple" often leads Logic to crashes or malfunctions.
On the contrary when all plugs in a session are 64 bit everything is very stable and our work is well focused on music as it should be, instead of spend a lot of time trying to fix software problems.
So, please hurry up!
Thanks...

Permalink Reply by Dylan Feeney on July 12, 2011 at 3:23am To be fair to Antares, I believe the real reason for the hold up in 64 bit plugins is down to iLok itself.
They are the people you should be complaining to.
Permalink Reply by Shane Wooding on July 15, 2011 at 4:04am Um...but how could it be that the license management folk are responsible for such a thing??
All those folk do is provide a system to manage licenses...right??? The software is developed by, bought from and downloaded directly from Antares...
Permalink Reply by Dylan Feeney on July 15, 2011 at 4:21am True.
But in order to authenticate Auto Tune as licensed, it has to access the iLok.
iLok does not support 64 bit mode at this time.
The only thing Antares can do in my opinion, is to offer an alternative form of authentication whilst iLok get their rears in gear.
I'm hoping that they do this soon so I can use SoundToys, the SPL plugs etc .. in 64 bit mode. I'm still running Logic in 32 bit mode whilst waiting for this to happen. :(
Permalink Reply by Shane Wooding on July 15, 2011 at 4:40am Oh, ok, well lets just hope they come up with another solution soon...
Steinberg and Toontrack seem to have found their way around this (admittedly in different ways) but nevertheless offer 64bit applications that are out there and working.

I use iLok on a Windows 7 x64 PC with Antares's "EFX" (32 bits) in Sonar 8.5 (64 bits) and so far it works.
I suggest you install the latest iLok drivers.
Permalink Reply by Blogospherianman on July 19, 2011 at 7:19am iLock is 64 bit. I use it with 64 bit version of the Quantum Leap Play. I also use it for the 64 bit iLock liscense with 64 bit Melodyne. (which has been 64 bit for quite some time now). Antares is the only one to blame for not being up to standards.
Permalink Reply by Dylan Feeney on August 1, 2011 at 10:59am You're all absolutely right.
Switched Logic over to 64 bit mode and noticed that I could access Play as a 64 bit plugin as advised. Yay.
Antares - not so yay.
Sorry for adding confusion into the mix folks.
Permalink Reply by Shane Wooding on August 1, 2011 at 5:46pm Disappointed to have to do so but bought Melodyne already...
As discussed, no problem with 64bit OS or sequencer....
